Client Comments about Find Your Green Job   Client List

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Carol McClelland as she adapted Green Career Central for state-level career information use as Find Your Green Job. She added many Illinois-specific resources for openings, training, and trends for job seekers. Part of the site is devoted to educators and agency staff so that they can come up to speed on green topics and then help others. She has an in-depth background in career development along with a passion for sustainability. Her combination of head, heart, and gut-level commitment to improving both individual lives and the planet has made Carol a premier expert on green careers.

Carol's willingness to share what she's learned exemplifies the best of "Educating, Inspiring, Motivating, and Persuading" segment of her brilliantly thought out Green Economy Map!

I consider Carol McClelland an expert who is extremely knowledgeable about both career development and green careers.  Carol’s expertise delivered through her websites (FindYourGreenJob.com and GreenCareerCentral.com), weekly newsletter and latest book “Green Careers For Dummies” are my first resources when seeking information for students, faculty or community members on the green economy.  Her Green Economy Map is simply inspired and an amazing educational tool.  I continually hear high praise from my clients and career development colleagues about Carol and her cutting edge resources.

High Praise from Green Career Trends Teleclass Participants

Carol's teleclass was very informative and inspiring. It presented many new perspectives on green careers -- a great resource! I'm putting her teleclasses in my planner and will recommend them to others!

Carol did a marvelous job in educating us about the green industry. Her webinar included up-to-date information and her green wheel is a fantastic tool to use with clients.  As a career counselor, I really appreciate your newsletter and free webinars. It can be hard to keep up with all the new "green" information, but having you as a resource makes it so much clearer. Keep up the great work. I always forward your website articles to my clients.

~ S.C., California

Carol's teleclass was so informative and full of crucial details about present and future trends in green jobs. At the same time, the content was engaging, easily understandable and accompanied by eye-catching Powerpoint slides.

I am looking to transition into Career Services, specifically into the Sustainable/Green career mentorship. The teleclass offered great insight on not only how to constructively guide students towards their careers, but has made me more resolute in pursuing my own professional goals. The Green Economy Map is very useful!

Top-flight information! As usual, Carol is thinking ahead of the pack and helping to guide people to places where they can have the most impact for saving the planet.

~ LL, Illinois

Carol gives cutting edge information in an excellent webinar format. Her in-depth research and delivery of Trends in the Green Economy has been a valuable learning experience. Her website offers an amazing and comprehensive amount of real-time information for all job seekers and career professionsals. Thank you for breaking down the 3 Trends. This webinar was very helpful in seeing the "large picture". Thanks for all your great work and the useful green tips.

~ Frances Doyle

Carol's perspective is global and she is articulate and concise in addressing the specific issues of the future as it relates to green. She provides excellent information as well as plenty of resources to support her position.  Thank you for explaining and identifying the three very important trends!

~ BK, Michigan

The teleclass, Stay Ahead of the Curve, presents the basic concept of our industrial paradigm shift as it encompasses concerns of society, economy and individuals. The content helped me understand how to look for the descriptors of a job, instead of the title, to determine "green" jobs. The labor market information (LMI) concepts presented gave a context within which to fit the green industry becoming more pervasive within all kinds of companies across the career clusters.

~ Amber Culver

Very thorough teleclass! You gave us lots of resources for exploration. I thought it was well done and I would recommend it.  Very good overview of an industrial shift. Lots of resources for background information and career exploration.
